3. Analytics And Aggregated Information

The Connection Hub uses first-party analytics to understand how the platform is used.

Analytics may be used to measure:

  • overall site usage
  • content engagement
  • organization reach
  • search interest
  • community demand
  • geographic search interest
  • source effectiveness
  • advertising performance
  • demand-versus-supply trends

We may create aggregated or de-identified reports for purposes such as:

  • internal planning
  • organization analytics
  • advertiser reporting
  • Development Hub planning
  • presentations
  • community or economic-development discussions
  • reports for cities, chambers, businesses, or other partners

We do not intend to sell identifiable individual browsing histories or individual search histories.

Externally shared reports are intended to use aggregated information and may apply minimum sample-size thresholds or other privacy protections.

4. Advertising

The Connection Hub may offer advertising or promotional opportunities.

Advertising may be targeted using non-sensitive information such as:

  • general content category
  • general location or searched area
  • site section
  • interest category
  • aggregated usage patterns

We do not intend to target advertising based on sensitive personal characteristics.

We do not sell member or user personal information to advertisers.

Advertisers may receive aggregated campaign-performance information, such as impressions, clicks, and other appropriate engagement metrics.

5. Memberships And Visitor Passes

The Connection Hub may offer memberships, visitor passes, or other paid convenience features.

Basic public community information may remain available without membership while certain convenience or discovery tools may require an active entitlement.

Membership and entitlement status may be associated with an account.

Payment and billing information may be processed by third-party payment providers.

6. Organization Accounts And Claims

Organizations may be able to claim or manage listings.

We may collect information necessary to verify that a user is authorized to represent an organization.

Organization account users may receive role-based permissions.

Being authorized to represent an organization does not necessarily mean that every submitted change will be automatically published.

Changes may be reviewed for accuracy, safety, conflicts, or consistency with other authoritative information.

7. Submissions And Public Content

Information submitted for publication may become publicly visible.

Examples may include:

  • event information
  • organization information
  • place information
  • activities
  • groups or programs
  • descriptions
  • public contact information
  • links

Do not submit private or sensitive personal information for public display unless it is appropriate and you are authorized to provide it.

We may edit, reject, remove, archive, or decline to publish submitted information.

Administrative systems are separated from normal public access and require authentication.

No security system can guarantee absolute protection.

10. Automated Collection And Anti-Abuse Monitoring

Because the value of The Connection Hub includes the aggregation, organization, and usability of community information, we may monitor for automated behavior intended to systematically extract or reconstruct substantial portions of the platform.

This may include monitoring:

  • unusually high request rates
  • sequential enumeration
  • repeated scraping patterns
  • automated traversal
  • repeated access to restricted or internal paths
  • attempts to circumvent technical controls

We may throttle, restrict, challenge, or block activity that appears abusive or inconsistent with permitted use.

11. Cookies And Session Technologies

The Connection Hub may use cookies or similar technologies for:

  • authentication
  • session continuity
  • preferences
  • security
  • analytics
  • feature functionality

Where account or membership features are used, some cookies may be necessary for those services to function.

12. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers for purposes such as:

  • hosting
  • payment processing
  • email delivery
  • infrastructure
  • security
  • analytics support
  • maps or directions
  • calendar integration

These providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

We seek to limit shared information to what is reasonably necessary for the service involved.

13. Data Retention

We retain information for different periods depending on its purpose.

For example:

  • public listing information may be retained historically
  • account information may be retained while an account is active and as needed afterward

  • raw analytics may have shorter retention periods
  • aggregated analytics may be retained longer
  • security information may be retained as needed for investigation and protection
  • audit records may be retained for operational accountability
  • source/provenance records may be retained to preserve data history

We may archive rather than permanently delete certain records when historical relationships, analytics, audit, or data integrity depend on them.

14. Data Sharing

We may share information when reasonably necessary with:

  • service providers
  • payment processors
  • hosting/infrastructure providers
  • professional advisors
  • government authorities when legally required
  • business or organizational partners when necessary for a service and consistent with this Policy

We may share aggregated or de-identified analytics and reports.

We do not intend to sell personal user information as a standalone data product.

15. Children And Age Requirement

The Connection Hub is intended for users age 18 or older.

We do not knowingly offer accounts or membership services to children under 18.

Public listings may include family-friendly or youth-oriented events, activities, groups, or programs, but those listings do not change the age requirement for account-based use.

16. Your Choices

Depending on available features, users may be able to:

  • update account information
  • change communication preferences
  • manage membership status
  • request correction of information
  • request account closure
  • contact us regarding privacy questions

Some records may need to be retained for security, legal, financial, audit, or historical purposes.

17. Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform changes.

The “Last Updated” date will be revised when material changes are made.

Continued use of the site after an updated Policy becomes effective may constitute acceptance of the updated practices where permitted by law.
