Future Plans

This Is Just the Beginning

The Connection Hub is being built around a simple idea: make it easier for people to discover what their community has to offer, connect around shared interests, and eventually help create the opportunities that don't exist yet.

We're starting with what's already happening. From there, the possibilities get much bigger.

The event calendar is the starting point—not the finish line.

Growing the Discovery Layer

From Events to Connection

01

Events

What's happening?

Bring events from across Cache Valley together in one place.

02

Activities

What can I do?

Help people discover things they can do around the valley even when they aren't tied to a scheduled event.

03

Groups

Who shares my interests?

Make clubs, organizations, teams, communities, and other groups easier to discover.

04

Personalized Discovery

What's right for me?

Make it increasingly easy for people to discover opportunities based on their own interests and what they're looking for.

Beyond Discovery

From Connection to Development

The goal isn't to build everything. It's to help the right people see what could be built.

As The Connection Hub grows, what people look for can help reveal more than what's already available.

It can also help us understand what's missing.

Maybe people are looking for a class that isn't being offered. Maybe there's an interest with plenty of people but no group bringing them together. Maybe people want more of a particular kind of event, activity, or experience than the valley currently provides.

Making those unmet interests visible creates an opportunity to do more than help people find what's already here. It can help give direction to what could come next.

But that doesn't mean we plan to create or host everything ourselves.

Instead, we want to connect unmet interests with the people who can do something about them.

That could mean helping a teacher see demand for a class they could offer. Helping an organizer recognize a community waiting to be brought together. Or helping local creators, performers, businesses, venues, and organizations see opportunities they may be uniquely positioned to provide.

That's the idea behind the eventual Development Hub: helping bridge the gap between what people are looking for and the people who can help make it happen.

A Connected Ecosystem

The Connection Cycle

Discover

Bring together what's already happening.

Connect

Help people find opportunities and one another.

Listen

Learn what people are looking for and where needs aren't being met.

Enable

Connect those needs with teachers, organizers, creators, businesses, and others who may be able to meet them.

Develop

Help new groups, classes, events, activities, and opportunities take shape.

Connect Again

Bring those new opportunities back through The Connection Hub so people can find them.

The Connection Hub discovers demand and connects people with what's available.

The Development Hub helps others respond to unmet demand.

Those newly created opportunities return to The Connection Hub, where people can discover them.

Grounded in What Comes Next

Built One Step at a Time

That's the larger vision. Right now, the focus is much simpler: build a useful, reliable Connection Hub and make it easier to discover what's already happening across Cache Valley.

Each step gives us a stronger foundation for the next. More sources make discovery better. More people using The Connection Hub help us understand what is useful and what is missing. And what we learn can help guide where the project goes next.

The vision is big. The way we get there is one useful step at a time.

The future starts with what's already here.
