Ecstatic Dance with Karavan Sarai

Ecstatic dance is a freeform, judgment-free practice that combines movement and meditation to help people connect with themselves and others, a no talking, no phones, no shoes, sober, mindful environment meant to create focus and intention in dancing with music. Karavan Sarai is a bridge fusing ancient global melodies from the artistry of the Silk Road with lush modern electronics. The groups soundscapes travel from the Middle East to India, the Balkans and Persia across distinct original & rearranged compositions. The sound seamlessly links musical impulses & dance with the heart of ancient rhythms. Listen and hear the echoes of old world footsteps in the group’s songs. Karavan Sarai forges ahead where the tracks end. This is deep fusion.
